Why do I feel like a ship passing Somalia?
The tea party was AWESOME!!!!! I packed up the kids, and my good friend, Allison, and we headed to San Antonio. We arrived around noon, and set up our chairs right behind the stage. We actually were on the Glenn Beck show--pretty much the whole show, but you can't really see us, since there were so many people there (a good thing). :) They said about 10,000 people were there, and Corpus didn't disappoint either with about 1,000 people going to the Lawrence Street T-head. My Mom in Nacogdoches said there were 2,000 people in downtown (click here to check out my Mom's pictures). My brother's news station wouldn't let him cover the tea party in his area, since they had done a big story on the Huntsville tea party!!!!! How exciting!!!!! But, of course, the San Antonio tea party was the most exciting and successful!! The actual grounds of the Alamo were roped off. It is a sacred place, and was treated as such during the tea party. Everything was truly perfect for this day--the weather, the attitudes, and the overwhelming since of pride for my state and citizens of our country. We chanted multiple times U-S-A, U-S-A. We do not want our country to fail, we want to make sure it succeeds (under the Constitution made by our founding fathers). Sorry Obama, our Constitution is not flawed. The silent majority no more!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Texas Revolution: city of Gonzales successfully kept the Mexican army from getting their prized bronze cannon, the flag became a sign of defiance during the Texas Revolution
Texas Revolution: the Mexican Constitution of 1824 taxed the mess out of Texas and since we weren't getting any services from the Mexican gov't, we decided to revolt, we took the Mexican flag replaced the eagle with 1824 and voila . . . the flag of 1824, flown at the Alamo
Flag of the American Revolution. Benjamin Franklin divided the snake into all the different states--when you step on ANY part of the snake--you get the wrath.
The flag of the Republic of Texas!

Davy Crockett?!?! There were several people dressed up like Indians (like the people at the original tea party), and there were a few people dressed up as patriots from 1776!!
This is why I had to go to the San Antonio tea party--the Alamo. Before we found our seats, Karston, Cami, Kayden, Allison & I all crossed over the line. :) Col. William Travis drew a line in the sand during the siege on the Alamo. He asked all his soldiers that were willing to fight and most likely give up their lives in freedom's cause, to cross over the line . . . they did it in 1836 . . . we did it in 2009. It is truly holy ground. The Alamo defenders would be proud, and I'm sure some of them were there with us in spirit. :)

I wouldn't mind that actually and Gov. Perry wouldn't mind either--he really stepped up for us this week--a rising star says the Drudge Report!! :) Kay?!
