simply the best :) (parents that is)
Memaw and Papa came to visit us this past weekend, and bring Karston home (finally). Karston had been able to enjoy not one, but TWO Scout Camps this past month with his Papa Ault. :) Besides Memaw almost passing out on a hike with Josh (asthma attack), everything else went pretty smoothly. Here's a little bit of what we were able to pack into the time they were here:
We decided to head to Los Alamos, NM. They were having a Science Fest downtown, so as Josh says, we were 'nerding it up.' And, I got to share my microgravity experience with a fellow nerd, so it was awesome. :)
We then headed to the Valle Caldera--soooooo pretty! :)
After the Science Fest and seeing the Caldera, we headed to downtown Santa Fe for some authentic New Mexican food at the Plaza Cafe. :)
That night we got out the telescope (that Papa brought for us), and saw craters in the Moon, two natural satellites of Jupiter, and Saturn with its rings!!! It was awesome!! Plus, we saw shooting stars, and man-made satellites as well. And, the Milky Way Galaxy too--because you can see it from our backyard. :)
The New Mexican sunset didn't disappoint us either. :)
Words can not adequately express how great my parents are--I am very lucky to call them my Mom and Dad. Thank you so much for watching after my Karston, and for coming to visit us at our new home in Santa Fe!!! Next time . . . . CAMPING! :)
