Maddyson in NM
Maddyson, Cami's best friend, was able to come and make some memories with our family for three whole weeks!!! We were glad she got to come and visit us, and help Cameron feel at home in her new home. :)
We did the normal stuff like go to the movies, and out to eat. And they spent a lot of time at our community swimming pool. :)
They rode bikes together . . . a lot, and figured out how to not hold on to the handle bars from the top of the hill, all the way to our home. :)
We explored Los Alamos!! I really wanted to move here due to its rich science history (to say the least), but since it is such a small city, it was a little harder getting a job there. :(
That doesn't mean I won't have a scientist daughter who will work there some day . . . :)
We call this 'fake' or 'Utah' grass--it is sooooo soft, and feels really fake, but I guess that's what grows here in NM. :)
Us and Oppenheimer :) (He was the scientist we stole from Germany to help us make the atomic bomb--pretty smart guy.)
We drove up into the mountains as well to see this huge caldera (the top of an extinct volcano). :)
Jemez Falls--we made a plan to go camping here in a couple of months. :)
Perfect fortune for us!! :)
We visited Old Town Albuquerque as well. The Navy band was playing, but sorry Karston no baritone. :)
Yep, they have sopapillas here with no cinnamon, just like Ponchos. :)
We visited the campus of the University of New Mexico. :) Home of the Lobos!
Got some ice cream in downtown Santa Fe! :) (for the second or third or fourth time . . . )
Georgia O'Keefe spent a lot of time in Santa Fe. We attended her museum in downtown. :)
Maddyson got a kiss from Dug.
Then she had to fly back home. :( That was a hard day for Cami, really all of our family, we love our Maddyson!! She calls us her second family--so this is her second home as well! :)
