Dixie is growing on us

August 4, 2018 a sweet little pup joined our family, and she has grown on us (definitely-literally and physically).  :) Dixie is a Bernadoodle--half Bernice Mountain Dog, half Poodle.  We picked her out when she was just a little pup, and we were sooooooo excited to bring her home.  She is 'officially' Kayden's dog, but we have all bonded with our cute little, I mean big pup now.  She has such a sweet personality, and just wants to be with you.  She loves to cuddle, and she is very smart.  She can sit, lay down, and she won't come inside until you say it is okay.  We love our big hairy Dixie (but, no, she doesn't shed because of the poodle in her).  We named her Dixie after a Matanuska Colonist named Dixie who lost her life in a house fire when she was just a baby.  We wanted her name to have an association with her home--Alaska.

February 1, 2018 . . . I was getting the fire started, so she came and put her head on my lap.  She then decided (since I had paid her attention), that a full belly rub was needed and rolled over on to her back.  We love our Dixie.  :)
