Australian Bush Bread

Karston is reading the book Down and Out Down Under. A story about a mouse named Geronimo who takes a trip to the Australian outback. In the book, it had the recipe for Australian Bush Bread, so we gave it a try . . . the verdict-Karston & Dad give it a thumbs up!! Yummy!

All you need:

1 1/2 cups milk

4 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons baking powder

4 teaspoons sugar

2 tablespoons butter

Bake in the oven for 25 minutes at 400 degrees. Lower temperature to 375 degrees and bake 10 to 15 minutes longer until the bread is golden in color and sounds hollow when tapped.
