a week with Auntie Amber :)
Kelsey & Hunter (two of my sister's kids from North Carolina) came to spend some time with the Bright Family in Corpus Christi--soooooo here are a few things we got to do THIS week---
Fourth of July Fireworks!! We got a double dose--the city's & then the fireworks after the Hooks game!! We haven't been this close to the fireworks in a loooonnnnggg time, so it was very neat for our family. We usually end up on the bay pretty far from the fireworks, and then the traffic afterwards makes the experience not even worth it, so we were extremely excited!!
Boom! Boom! I'm proud to be an American! (even though we had to get over that Chavez Citgo sign right in the way--ugh!)

Hunter was verrrrrrryyyy excited for the start of the baseball game!!
And, of course, we again participated in the Tea Party--the Corpus Christi one this time. :) We had fun making signs that morning--Bankruptcy Yes HE Can!!!, What will his teleprompter BUY next?, and Capital Hill Diet Oink! Oink! :)

Once an Obama supporter . . . now after a week with Aunt Amber . . . she holds up the sign!! Go Kelsey!! he-he
My favorite picture of the day--Kaykay with her shades on waving a Republic of Texas flag--go Kaykay!!

We did a lot of stuff this week that I didn't take pictures of--going to see the Hannah Montana movie, going to the beach, swimming in the Natatorium, and going to the library. Hunter checked out a Chinese Recipe cookbook from the library, so we had a Chinese dinner one night--decorations and everything.
Kaykay had us laughing pretty hard one night--somehow she had gotten wet (dog bowl or something), anyway, Hunter made the comment to her that she better stay away and not give him a hug. Kaykay just puckered up, and said you want a kiss instead?!!!
The Cunningham Family hooked us up with Hooks tickets for July 4th--Thank you!!! So, after they accompanied us to the Tea Party, we headed for Brewster's Street for dinner, & then the Hooks game. (above) Karston and Ava hanging out at the game. :)
The flag on the field.
Kelsey & Hunter couldn't believe how extremely HOT it was--Josh bought them Hooks caps to help cool down these Northerners. he-he
Is that Kayden?!?

Kayden modeling Kelsey's new hat.
Kayden watching the fireworks with lots of ooooohhhhhsss!!! and ahhhhhhhhhss!!!
Mr. Hunter at the game.

We did make it to the Aquarium this week. Kayden had gone so much with her friend, Sophie, she felt she needed to direct everywhere we went and how long we stayed. She will definitely be some kind of leader one day. (above)--Cami, Karston, Adiah, Ava, Kayden, Hunter, and Kelsey watch the dolphins under water. Kayden especially loved when the dolphin pooped in her face--she laughed and laughed. :)
Karston and Hunter take in the dolphin show.
Cousins rockin' out!!!
Beautiful Kelsey with the dolphins behind her.
OK . . . just a few more things to do before they leave . . . Kelsey needs to try windsurfing . . . a few more trips to the beach . . . a church dance on the beach Friday night . . . and . . . um . . . I better start thinking of some more things to do--no matter what, I know we will be having LOTS of fun!!! I'm so glad my niece and nephew get to spend some time with ME!! :)
