Christmas Lights = Dangerous

Josh finally got around to putting up the Christmas lights outside our home. Our neighborhood tends to be very festive--even for Halloween--our neighbors had lights up, so as to be not the Scrooge in the neighborhood, Josh worked tirelessly to make the outside of our home Christmas ready!! We just didn't expect swelling, bruising, and blood--gross! (as he pulled a wooden stake out of the ground he underestimated his superhuman strength and bashed himself in the head) But happy to say, he seems to be alright. :( We love you Dad! He isn't quite done, but as soon as he is, I'll post a picture of his finished product.

We got our Christmas tree last weekend. We decided to go a different route this year and buy a LIVING Christmas tree. It is a little smaller than our normal trees, but we were glad not to have to get it stable in the Christmas stand or have to tie it to our wall, soooooo here it is . . .

It is in it's own pot and when Christmas is over--we will plant it in our front yard. :)

I think Christmas lights are worth all the trouble they cause! I love them. I'll have to do a drive-by to see Josh's handy work!

You have to watch out for those tricky Christmas lights. I'm glad that Josh is getting better.

Poor Josh. I can relate just a little. I usually do most of our outside lights and decor and I have been known to shock myself here and there with broken lights from the year before. It is really a lot of hard work decorating for Christmas. I'm not done yet either. I like your tree. We have an artificial one and I miss having the real thing. I just love the smell of an evergreen!!

Seriously Josh... quit trying to make the rest of us jealous of your superhuman strength. I mean really was there need for blood! You have taken the strength training one step to far! We are bowing out of the competition! You win already! Get better soon!
