FAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTT ALBERT!!

We started our morning with the Baker Band Waffle Breakfast!!  Yummy!!  Karston is sooooooo excited about being a member of the band, being the first chair baritone, and cutting down the orchestra every chance he gets.  he-he

They have a healthy competitive side, but they love each other too.  :)

Next, we headed to the AIR SHOW!!!  We got the best seats in the bus--the very back.  The kids & I had a lot of fun, even though the clouds threatened the performances all day.  Josh didn't feel up to coming, he was stuck at home with a cold and soar throat--and in a one bedroom apartment, he was glad we had somewhere to go.

When we first got there, they announced that they had the 1000 feet necessary, between the clouds and the ground, to perform.  We were soooooooo excited!!  We watched a few stunt pilots, and then we were put on hold once again.  So, in the meantime, we had a little fun.

We found the Blue Angel Flight Team--they signed our hats and posed for pictures.  This isn't the first girl pilot, but she is on the team to help with mechanical issues for the team and their aircraft.

And, here he is . . . FAAAAAATTTTTT ALBERT!!  He did take off to check out the weather, and get more exact calculations for cloud height.  He then came back with the bad news. . . . A thunderstorm was headed our way---RUN!!!  And,that's what everyone did.  Luckily, we did make it to our car before the down pour came.

We are hoping they will fly today . . . and well, I hear the F-22 outside my window . . . so talk to you later!!!!  Love living by a Naval Base . . . I guess we will see the Thunderbirds in Albuquerque next year!!!!
