swimming, (first attempt) Towers Arch, and Double O Arch

We swam and swam and swam . . . and met lots of Germans.  Our neighbors in the cabin beside us were Germans, and the kids met two German girls at the swimming pool (that we had over for cookies one night).  We really loved our Moab cabin community.

 

We packed in a lot the day we tried to hike Towers arch the first time.  Towers arch was on the last of our to do list, and we thought it was only going to be a short hike.  Unfortunately, it turned into over a  3 miles hike, and we were definitely too tired.  We decided to turn back early, so we didn’t get to the arch the first attempt (pictures to come of when we actually did complete the hike).

 

Karston had been looking for a perfect walking stick.  Kayden decided to help him, and within 30 seconds she had found the perfect walking stick with a handle and everything.  We all thought this was pretty funny (excluding Karston).

 

Cameron and I enjoyed ‘seeing’ things in the rocks—do you see the smiley face above or the elephant below?  We do.

Double O Arch was a favorite of most of the kids—it was right off the road, and there were lots of places to climb and explore.
