a Texan cowboy . . .
My brother, who lives in Tennessee, got the opportunity to come HOME to TEXAS last week. Part of his vacation included a trip to Corpus Christi. My sister’s kids were also able to come along—Kelsey, Harrison, and Hunter. We had a great time—skipping one day of school, and hanging with my brother, niece, and nephews.
We, of course, headed to the beach, flew some kites, and got really cold. The weather didn’t get into the 80’s until the day they left. :( We stopped at the touristy stores, visited the Museum of Science and History—where we explored the Columbus’ ships, ate at the two story Whataburger, finally found a hermit crab for Harrison (or slug looking thing called a whelk), danced in the elevator like the Bowie family, ate pizza and cheese dip, did our own version of the polar bear dip, visited the Selena Memorial, laughed so hard during Harrison’s stand-up comedy routine (which never ended by the way), and hung out at one of Karston’s baseball games. We had a lot of fun being together—just wished they could have stayed longer, and the weather had been warmer. They promised to come back during the summer though!! :)
Cameron could never quite get her kite flying as high as Harrison’s.
Hunter jumping up for joy to be at a beach!!
The POLAR BEAR PLUNGE!! (& some jumping pictures—um . . . go Josh!)
Trying on some weird hats!
WHAT-A-BURGER!!!
Karston, Josh, and Harrison had a little too much fun in the kids’ zone area of the museum. :)
You didn’t break that did you Harrison?!?!!
I think I can! I think I can!!!
Didn’t know that innocent bystander was given ya’ll such a funny look?!
Dancing in the elevator—and have ya’ll ever seen the Youngblood’s, Bright’s, and Ault’s get down to Just Dance on the XBox—it is a sight in itself?!?!! :)
