Beach to Bay

Last weekend Josh & I participated in our fourth Beach to Bay Relay Marathon. It is a lot of fun--one day . . . each of my sisters will run a leg. :) We never got a group picture, but we had an awesome team as normal. Our time wasn't too hot, maybe because it was so HOT!! & our exchanges weren't too good---it took some time trying to find the next runner at each hand off when there are about 1000 people there. :( Thank you Lundquist Automotive for sponsoring our team, and thanks to our teammates who helped us get to the finish, Chris, Maria, Brittney, and Erikka. :) (a special thank you to Erikka who joined our team with three days notice--we had someone get injured and pull out--THANK YOU!) (below) They have 'official' photographers there taking your picture along the route. Sometimes you see them (smile & run a little faster) & sometimes you don't. :)

I ran the bridge leg, a little over 4.3 miles. :) I'm not the fastest runner, but I passed a few people along the way . . . (2 or 3). :)

Josh ran the final leg of the relay--the longest 4.89 miles in the hottest part of the day.

We had a great time & enjoyed spending time with our friends the Payne Family. :)
