Independence Day

 

We had fun last night celebrating July 4th.  We tried to get closer to the fireworks this year, so we went down to the sea wall.  We had a lot of fun---eating Wendy's frosties and being together.  :)  We missed having our Dad celebrate this holiday with us, but he should be back today!!  yeah! 

It is always awesome to see so many people come together to celebrate our nation's birth, especially when we live in a time where our national identity is almost non-existent.  Well . . . maybe a lot of the people I saw last night were just there for the fireworks . . . but I like to think that as we stood there watching the fireworks together--we all became Americans again.  We all realized again the great country we live in, how blessed we are, and how important it is to always strive to be the best people and country our nation was founded to become.
