a day in downtown

We decided to spend the day in downtown Corpus, so Dad loaded up our bikes on a trailer, and we headed to Ocean Drive.  We enjoyed the great weather, beautiful scenery, and laughed as Kayden's facial expressions couldn't quite hide what she was thinking (especially when a man rode by on his bike in a speedo).  :)

 

We stopped at a downtown restaurant and ate yummy Mexican food. 

We took a break from riding to rest and play at the water gardens.

 

We got to explore the Museum of Science and History, take in the view of the Harbor Bridge, and hang out as a family. 

 

We explored the Columbus ships (exact replicas of the Santa Maria, Pinta, and Nina-that were sailed here from Spain).  (above) The ships making their way to Corpus Christi passing the space shuttle in Florida (tooo cool!)! 

 

 

And, we got to see the new bug exhibit at the museum as well.  :)



Sooooo, the day might have started a little rocky with no one wanting to wear a helmet . . . but at the end of our adventure . . . we can conclude that this was a great day being together as a family.  :)
