riding down the highway

The best Christmas present I ever got looked just like the above bicycle. My parents knew that I really wanted a bike (a 10-speed-yeah!), and they must have known how happy they had made me that night. Yes, I was a happy girl (and that's probably why my parents have yet to throw out my old bike--it still sits in their garage). :)

Josh & I don't really have that much in common (opposites attract, I guess)--but the one thing we do have in common is that we rode bikes all the time when we were kids, of course his bike path consisted of dirt rodes and forest trails, while my paths were more like raking leaves in a city-grid type pattern . . . but we do LOVE to ride bikes, even now.

So, it is no surprise that all of our kiddoes enjoy riding bicycles too. Last night we took all our bikes to my college campus to ride on the trails and through the campus buildings. We had a lot of fun. Cameron and Karston were doing tricks, riding down the stairs, and standing on the middle bar of their bikes. And, Kayden, well, her nickname is Ms. Fasty (enough said). :) We had a lot of fun riding bikes as a family.
