For the first time . . .I always tell Cami she is extra special because she is the one who made me a MOMMY!! :)

WAS YOUR FIRST PREGNANCY PLANNED? yes . . . well, kind of . . . we waited five years before having our first baby--so Josh could graduate, get a job and insurance, but weren't planning on getting it right the first time we tried :) Josh was training with GEICO & it was the kind of training from @*#@, he had to pass all these tests & if he didn't they would send him home (which they did send some home)--kind of stressful :( but I knew my hubby could do it :)

WERE YOU MARRIED AT THE TIME? yes

WHAT WERE YOUR REACTIONS? scared & happy, I'm not the healthiest person & I was scared I wouldn't eat enough vegetables, etc.

HOW OLD WERE YOU? 24

HOW DID YOU FIND OUT YOU WERE PREGNANT? Josh was training for his job at GEICO in Washington DC when I started to suspect I might be pregnant, so as soon as he got back we took the test, and sure enough, it didn't even take the whole three minutes & yes, I still have the stick I peed on, just can't get rid of it :( I know . . . gross

WHO DID YOU TELL FIRST? we told our family--did some calling :)

DID YOU WANT TO FIND OUT THE SEX? no, we waited . . . we found out with Karston . . . and then with Kaykay we waited until Christmas day, our nurse wrote it down on a Christmas card & we opened it that morning

DUE DATE? October 29, 2000

DID YOU HAVE MORNING SICKNESS? yes, we had just moved to San Antonio at the time & I had transferred with JCPenney, but I could not get over how much it stunk at my new store--stunk like you wanted to throw up stunk . . . then I realized what I had . . . I only got sick one time, after I brushed my teeth--toothpaste YUCK!!

WHAT DID YOU CRAVE? frosties from Wendy's . . . in those first few months I just felt sick & nothing sounded good, so I bought those totino pizza pouch things (pizza--could you really go wrong?!) . . . then I tried them . . . soooo gross . . . I can't even eat them today

WHO/WHAT IRRITATED YOU THE MOST? that stupid what to expect when you are expecting book . . . the whole book was you could feel like this or maybe not or totally the opposite . . . whatever (but I read that stupid book probably 50 times)

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CHILD'S SEX? girl

DID YOU WISH YOU HAD THE OPPOSITE SEX OF WHAT YOU WERE GETTING? I didn't know what I was getting until she came & I wouldn't want anyone but my Cami!! :)

HOW MANY POUNDS DID YOU GAIN THROUGHOUT THE PREGNANCY? about 40 lbs. I stopped writing how much I weighed in my baby journal toward the end . . . too depressing

DID YOU HAVE A BABY SHOWER? I had two showers--one by a lady at our church who ended up being one of my best friends--Maria . . . and the other shower was given to me by my co-workers at Frost Bank

WAS IT A SURPRISE OR DID YOU KNOW? knew about it & was very glad to be having one . . . since we were poor & had nothing!!

DID YOU HAVE ANY COMPLICATIONS DURING YOUR PREGNANCY? toward the end my blood pressure was a little high--really strange for me--and then after I had her, my blood pressure went really low, other than that--no issues

WHERE DID YOU GIVE BIRTH? good question . . . I can't remember the name of the hospital . . . ok . . . I looked it up-- North Central Baptist Hospital in San Antonio

HOW MANY HOURS WERE YOU IN LABOR? I was induced at 8:00 PM Sunday night and she popped out at 9:30 AM the next morning. The doctor said he was going to start me slowly, so I could sleep through it--yea--no--immediately I was in pain, throwing up, going the bathroom every five minutes, you name it . . . I don't do labor well . . . so I was on sleeping medication, pain medication, inducing medication, and I was wide awake!!! AGGHHH!

WHO DROVE YOU TO THE HOSPITAL? Josh with my mom in the back seat :)

WHO WATCHED YOU GIVE BIRTH? Josh & Mommy

WAS IT NATURAL OR C-SECTION? Natural, if that's what you call it

DID YOU TAKE MEDICINE TO EASE THE PAIN? pain medicine & finally an epidural too . . . later with the other ones I just had an epidural, let me tell you, pain medicine plus an epidural is the way to go

HOW MUCH DID YOUR CHILD WEIGH? 8 pounds 11 ounces

WHEN WAS YOUR CHILD ACTUALLY BORN? October 30, 2000, 9:31 AM
