I'm pleased to inform you that even though the election (presidential) is over, I still can't get enough of politics (even though right now if I think too much about it, I want to pull out all my hair with my bare hands!! AGGHHH!). But, anyway, it is still good to be involved, & very happy to report that Nueces County is a Republican County now!! :) And one of the best places in the U.S. to ride out the recession. Today was the first meeting of the Nueces County Republican Women. Bob Jones (1440 Keys) came to speak to us about our new TX speaker of the house, Rep. Joe Straus. It got a little heated in the room, since Straus has made some controversial statements on abortion & the such, & . . . well . . . he was put in as speaker by the Democrats. So, we'll see what happens . . . . politics!! he-he Also, Kay Bailey Hutchison has already started to recruit people to be on her team to defeat Gov. Perry. I like Senator Hutchison a lot, but she is kind of iffy on her stance on abortion, & while Gov. Perry isn't my favorite guy (remember the dash cam speeding ticket fiasco?!?), I do believe he has done a good job being Governor of our state, so why oust him? What do you guys think? Who would you vote for? Who should I get behind? I'm pretty sure Kay will whoop up on him, so should I just go with the winning team? But why should I abandon Perry?!?!! Help me on this everybody & vote in my poll!!! :) Isn't this fun????!!!!!!!! :)
