VOTE!!
The best day every four years is happening today . . . and if you are still at odds over who to vote for these are some of my picks that I feel very strongly about:

(I love the above picture of her, I took it at one of our luncheons--sometimes we forget that these people are humans--running for an office where they will only make about $7,000 a year for it--Connie is so cute--she is human--she is personable--she wants to help--she is right for Texas)

Sheriff Jim Kaelin--He just looks tough (kind of like my Dad). He has done wonders with our county jail, so 'proven leadership, proven experience' really works in his case. Vote for Kaelin! WINNER!

SOOOOOOO--get out there and VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
These are the people who would be great for our country:
John McCain/Sara Palin--Even though John McCain wouldn't have been my Republican pick (Romney/Palin 2012), he has definitely grown on me, especially when he is up against a socialist. I believe in limited government, lower taxes, and opportunity for all. I do not believe in hand-outs or the need to distribute the wealth. The wealth is already distributed to those who work hard and get ahead. I don't believe the right of women to choose should overstep the life of a child. Those are just a few reasons John McCain and I agree.

John Cornyn, US Senator--I love Cornyn's ads--the soft country music in the background--oh soooooo Texas. :) I do not believe he is going to have any trouble getting re-elected. He is a great guy, & was on the short list for Supreme Court Justice when Bush was trying to decide. He is a smart guy. Have you looked at the Texas economy lately?! There is something to be said for Republicans having control--which we do in the state--every justice on the Supreme Court is Republican, gov'r, senators, etc. :) We have low unemployment, the recession and housing problems are not affecting us as much as the rest of the nation--have I said limited government, free market?!? Look at New Jersey, New York--high taxes, high unemployment--rest my case. WINNER!
Willie Vaden, US House of Rep.--Willie, Willie, Willie . . . Our county is much different from the rest of Texas. Not to long ago, we didn't even have Republicans running in any election. Willie, on the other hand, has tried to get the slimy Ortiz out of office a few times now. Each time he gets a little closer to ousting the godfather Ortiz, maybe this year will be the year.
These are the people who would be great for our state:
Connie Scott, State Rep. District 34--I am sooooo excited about our State Representative races. This is the first time in a long time, we actually have a chance. I have seen and met Connie Scott multiple times. She will definitely make a difference in our area. I have also met her opponent, Abel. He came and spoke at one of my political science classes. Limited government, lower taxes, and no crooked politicians--the choice is easy.

(I love the above picture of her, I took it at one of our luncheons--sometimes we forget that these people are humans--running for an office where they will only make about $7,000 a year for it--Connie is so cute--she is human--she is personable--she wants to help--she is right for Texas)
Todd Hunter, State Rep. District 32--I LOVE Todd Hunter. I have gotten to help Todd out a lot. He is a great guy with an awesome family. He used to be our state rep. before, and then took time off to raise his kids. His kids are now in college with a senior in high school (I think). He has had a tough time with good ole' Juan. But the difference is clear--fiscally responsible or big spender . . . well, I would say that if Juan had shown up. State reps., are only in session for three months--what's up with that? I guess you would have to ask the army of Juan. WINNER!

Raul Torres, State Rep. District 33--this is my guy!! Raul Torres is AWESOME!!! He is from Robstown, and has worked hard to be successful in life and now for US in Austin.
These are the people who would be great for Nueces County:
Caroline Bertuzzi, Justice, 13th Court of Appeals--I stood in line with her as we tried to get some grub at a Republican Women's Luncheon. She is a great lady and will make a great judge. She is small and petite, but I'm sure her courtroom will be under control. :)

Guy Williams, Judge 214th District--Woohoo!! . . . wait, that's not it, what do the Marines say . . . hurrah!! Well, we heard that often from Guy Williams. He is a fun guy, and will definitely make a great judge for our district courts.
