one last summer vacation . . .

We took one last summer vacation this weekend. We headed to San Antonio on Thursday to stay in our favorite haunted hotel, The Menger. We ate yummy Mexican food, walked on the Riverwalk, visited the Alamo, got haircuts, went to Splashtown, visited with our friends, the Payne Family, and enjoyed being together. :) Here are some pictures from our long weekend: We enjoy breakfast at the Menger---it looks a lot like the Titanic to me. :)

Teddy Roosevelt, Bill Clinton, and BABE RUTH have stayed at the Menger. :) (above) Karston with his favorite baseball player (and he says it's Papa's favorite too). :)

We only saw one ghost in our hotel room . . . they say the hotel is haunted. Luckily, this ghost was pretty friendly & sounded like our Kay. :)

Kayden LOVED Splashtown, especially the big castle she got to play in, and we only had to get out once due to . . . um . . . yes . . . yuck!! :(

She told me she wouldn't go down the yellow slide again because water gets in her eyes and mouth. I told her just to close her mouth and eyes. She then explained that everyone knows you have to go WEEEEEEEE!!! down the slide . . . silly Mommy. :)
