Blue Angles

My brother recently made the move from TN back to TX.  He now lives in Ft. Worth—actually right in the middle of Dallas and Ft. Worth.  I am SOOOO happy he is much closer to me & my family.  :)  So, for his first getaway to the Texas coast—we packed in an air show, pops in the park, good food, and well since he came on a Friday and left Sunday, we didn’t have time to make it to the beach, so that means he’ll just have to come back again (really soon).  :)

Uncle Josh made sure his nieces and nephews gained a few pounds—nachos and funnel cake anyone?!

My family was extra excited about the air show being back in South Texas (it was cancelled last year due to government budget issues, a.k.a. Obama).  Last year, was the first year of Karston’s LIFE he didn’t get to see the Navy’s stunt planes. 

Kayden wants to be a doctor when she grows up, so she definitely got a kick out of seeing the medical helicopter.  ;)

After spending the day at the air show, we decided to close out the night at Whataburger Field—Pops in the Park.  Cami’s violin teacher played with the orchestra—all songs about TEXAS.  :)

The Harbor Bridge was lit up, and the fireworks at the end of the show were awesome.  :)

 

Thank you Josh for coming all the way to see us (even surviving a nasty hailstorm on your way here).  I love you more than anything—and definitely couldn’t be more proud of my brother—the man you have become, the example you set for my kiddos, and definitely the best brother I could ever ask for.  :)
