summer time fun
Kayden decided it was time . . .
She did so awesome!!—of course I was overly cautious because of Cameron’s reaction after she got her ears pierced (fainting), but Kayden was so brave. She held my hand, didn’t cry or even wince, and bam! her ears were pierced. I told her to just sit in the chair while I paid, but she lasted about 10 seconds before she was up and looking to show her big sister (who was hiding because she was afraid she might faint watching her little sister). I love my girls—their very different personalities and reactions to pain. :)
We decided Hunter couldn’t be in Texas all summer, and not make it down to our house, so Papa met us in Houston (at Ponchos of course) to let us pick up one of our favorite cousins.
I felt so guilty when Hunter was here because I had to work one day, and it seemed like we were stuck at the house a lot, but we did manage to make it to Aransas Pass Aquatic Center, downtown Rockport & Charlotte Plummers (the best seafood restaurant—yes, Josh was very happy one of Hunter’s favorite foods is seafood), the beach, Whataburger (twice—the two story one of course), and get our groove on with Just Dance. And . . . well, they played minecraft a lot too. Hunter is such a great guy, and we enjoyed him at our home!
Kayden’s best friend, Hailey, joined us at the water park too.
And . . . one funny quote by our Kayden: Josh likes to joke around with his kids . . . and wife. So payback is sweet. Josh was minding his own business when Kayden came up behind him and pulled his pants down to his ankles. After her victory, she just said . . . “good times . . . good times” with a very big smile on her face. :)
