Happy Easter
Every Easter (and Christmas) my thoughts always turn to my Grandmother Ault, and how spectacular she made each holiday. Today was no different. I’ll always remember the MEGA-Easter egg hunts, the eggs with money in them, and the hand-made confetti eggs. I have two of the eggs that my Grandmother Ault made for my two kiddoes at the time—Cameron & Karston.
This past week Karston knew he would have to give a talk in primary. He thought hard about what he wanted to say—I gave him different ideas, we read some of the Easter story . . . and this is what he came up with:
“At first light Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Jesus arrived at the tomb. The angel greeted the women and said: “Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said.” (Matthew 28:5-6)
I want to tell you what Easter means to me. This is an egg that my Grandma gave to me when I was very small. Sadly, she died of cancer, but I know that one day I will be resurrected, and I will get to have Easter egg hunts with her. I know that my family will be forever, and one day everyone will be resurrected.
I want to bear my testimony that I know this church is true, and that we can all live again in Heaven. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
I counted myself very lucky to have gotten to go in primary, and hear my sweet boy bear such a simple, but perfect testimony. And, I know without a doubt, my Grandmother is already planning that Easter celebration!
Here are a few pictures from our day: (and there might have been more than one confetti egg with Daddy’s name on it . . . ) :)
Kayden wanted to ride to church with Daddy in his ‘cool’ car. :)
Granny got to be with us too!
