Happy EASTER!

I think Karston and Kayden put it best-after our Easter egg hunt, Karston pointed out this Easter wasn't as fun as most because the Suttons didn't live next door anymore.  (The kids loved breaking confetti eggs on their heads.)  Kayden added to our 'not as good as usual' mode by saying, "Daddy isn't here either."  :(  Josh has been in McAllen for a week now.  On Friday, we made a quick trip to the Valley to spend some time with him.  We swam at the hotel, and spent some 'quality' time with him--not much on the 'quantity' side.  :(  We came back yesterday to the lawn needing to be mowed, the house needing to be cleaned, the Easter bunny needing to come, and 30 hours of GT training to do (I got some of that done, but you can see I'm procrastinating and writing on the blog instead of the 30 hours of training at the moment).  I don't like being by myself--single/working mom thing isn't quite working.  We are hoping to have our Dad back this week.

But, life goes on somehow . . . and this is how we spent our Easter:

We first got all dressed up to go to church.  Karston was the only one who didn't get a new dress, but that was o.k. with him.  he-he  We woke up early (so we could make it on time to church), and so we could curl the girls hair.  Camee (below) is growing up so fast, and she is so pretty!  :)

Our Kayden was given a dress from  Hailey-her bestest friend.  Kayden loved the dress, and felt so pretty today.

(above) Kayden was mad about something in the above picture--I can't remember exactly what it was, but I told her to smile for the camera or she wouldn't get to hunt eggs.  This is the smile I got.  :)

Our favorite--confetti eggs!!  :)  WATCH OUT KAYDEN!!!!  :)  (below)-Karston takes off running when a confetti egg comes his way.  :)

We were able to watch the Muppet Movie last weekend--we should have realized the impact of seeing the Muppets would have on Cameron.  She loves anything with bigger than normal features, and the whole movie she was saying--"that's so cute!" or laughing or smiling.  She was hooked, so she was very happy that she got Kermit from the Easter bunny.  Well, her first words when she saw Kermit in her Easter basket--"How did you buy that without me knowing?!?!!"  The Easter bunny brought it, of course!

We hope everyone finds themselves surrounded by family & friends to enjoy this special holiday.  During Easter time I always think of my Grandmother Ault, and how much she enjoyed Easter time.  Knowing the Savior rose from the grave, helps me to have faith that my Grandmother lives--& is watching over me--and one day I'll be able to see her again--and she'll say, "It's about time!" (and then a major Easter egg hunt will commence).  :) (Grandmother would always say, "It's about time!" whenever we arrived at her home in Longview.)
