The Ballerina

Many miles away

the grandma watches

with her glasses perched

upon her nose

the grainy video

of the little ballerina

Who dances

with all her heart

as she leads her

dance mates onto

the dance floor

her hair in bun

and make up

on her face

dressed in tights

and ruffled tutu

perfect pirouettes

ending with a curtsy

Grandma applauding--

beaming with pride.

(every ballerina needs a little water after the performance)

(her Daddy made it to dress rehearsal even though he had just had one of his wisdom teeth pulled--he loves his little girl---we just don't know if Josh will remember her performance tomorrow) :(

Kayden is having her recital on Saturday, so we are in preparations to make the recital just perfect. Her dress rehearsal was this afternoon. She said she was not nervous at all. :) She leads her fellow dancers onto the dance floor for both their numbers. She is really cute. We love our ballerina. :)
