a weekend with Grans . . .

Granny is visiting us this week, so we tried to pack in some fun stuff for her visit.

We went to see the Milky Way last night. :) Let's just say, my Astronomy class is HARD, but I'm loving it at the same time. If you go out to the beach, close to the Nat'l Seashore, you can see the Milky Way. It is AWESOME!! We saw shooting stars, satellites, Jupiter, and of course the Milky Way Galaxy in which our little planet lives. :) I tried to take a picture . . . um . . . didn't quite work out. I guess if you really want to see you'll have to come to Corpus. :) We spent a lot of time in our backyard, cooking sausages and hot dogs. :)

Chica has also been grateful to have her friend, Rosey, come and play too.

Of course having a fire, we had to heat up a little bit of water in a coke can, and then put it into a bowl of water . . . SMACK!! the can implodes. :) (just a little trick I learned in Physical Science class)
