my first time . . .
My first time . . . by: Kayden
Today was the first time I got to give a Primary talk. My Mommy helped me study all week, so I would be prepared. I practiced and practiced, so I would do a good job. Mommy, also, got a picture for me, so I could show the other kids at primary what Jesus and Mary looked like.

Today was the first time I got to give a Primary talk. My Mommy helped me study all week, so I would be prepared. I practiced and practiced, so I would do a good job. Mommy, also, got a picture for me, so I could show the other kids at primary what Jesus and Mary looked like. When Sis. Shipley said it was my turn, I went to the podium, climbed the two little stairs behind it, and stood up tall so everyone could see me. I moved the microphone to my lips, so I would be loud.
Then it hit me . . . I got very scared. I walked down the two little steps quickly, and told my Mommy she could do it. Mommy hugged me tight, and told all the primary kids that this was my first time. Then she said my talk for me:
"Jesus said love everyone, treat them kindly too, when your heart is full of love, others will love you. My Mommy sings this song to me when I fight with my brother and sister. It reminds me to be like Jesus. I am thankful for Jesus, and grateful I can follow his example. When Jesus died, they buried him in a tomb. On the third day, Mary cried, because Jesus' body was gone. (Mommy asked me to show the kids who was Mary, I pointed to Mary in the picture.) Jesus then appeared to Mary. She was happy. When we die we will live again, just like Jesus." :)
